Muzyka house narodziła się w połowie lat 80. w Chicago. Gatunek wywodzi się głównie z disco, electro, synth-pop, groove czy funk. Określenie tej odmiany elektronicznych brzmień pochodzi od nazwy legendarnego już miejsca, jakim jest klub Warehouse. Charakteryzuje się ona przede wszystkim tanecznym rytmem i linią melodyczną opartą na instrumentarium muzyki poważnej np. skrzypiec, fortepianu czy gitary.

W katalogu Armada Music, obok pop, dance, trance i chill, house zajmuje bardzo ważne miejsce, stanowiąc prawie połowę całego repertuaru.
